In Memory of Tom Bolton:

I have received a few emails from Tom's widow.  He passed away a few years ago.  Tom earned  a masters degree and worked as a manufacturer's rep in the Chicago area for thirty years.  They had two sons:  One attended Boston College and is now a research biologist.  The other attended Purdue and is an engineer.

Tom and I and a few others often snuck off
Campus to hike down the railroad track to the Wisconsin River, capturing snakes that we brought back to the dorm in those old cloth laundry bags.  (You may recall the story of Mike Smith putting  a snake on the elevator in Lucey Hall for Fr. Hoffman to find the next morning.  To my mother's chagrin I brought a large snake,  a gift from  Mike Smith,  home with me after graduation. Poor snake.)

"Bolts"  was a good man at Campion, a bit shy but kind to everyone.

Tom's had intended  to send his sons to Campion had it not closed.

May he rest in peace.

I looked up the obit for Gary Deeny.   He passed away in 2012 as a result of some sort of accident.  He lived in a town of about 250 not too far from where we went to HS.  The town was Waucoma, Iowa.  Looks like he never married.   I tried to find him more that a few times, even sending a xmas card to an address that seemed to be his.  Belatedly I added a comment to his funeral home site.  May he rest in piece.   BTW the photo on the obit looked like it might be the same one from our
Campion senior year book.

I wish we could come up with Jerey Schaefer's address.  Hope he had a happy life,  better than at
Campion.
